History of Grama Panchayat

Eroor Grama Panchayat was formed in 1953 and initially operated with its headquarters in Kulathupuzha. At that time, it was a vast panchayat that encompassed the present-day regions of Eroor, Thenmala, Kulathupuzha, and Aryankavu. Village life centered around agriculture and cattle rearing, trade relations with Tamil Nadu, and famous cattle markets were the unique features of Eroor.
